Features of PLA and tips for users
PLA is a suitable material for beginners due to the better adhesion than ABS, because of which you don’t necessarily need a heated printing plate. Manufacturers, nevertheless, recommend the use of a heated printing bed at around 60 Degrees (please read their instructions as this is an approximate number). To achieve a perfect finish, we recommend using a fan in the printing process, but both techniques are not necessary.
Due to its vegetable origin, metallic material for 3D printing made of PLA is environmentally friendlier and gives a pleasantly sweet aroma when printing. PLA has a tendency to absorb moisture, therefore, we recommend keeping it in a dry and dark place – at least as long as it is not used on a regular bases.

Critical considerations and test
The material has a metallic-looking surface before and especially after the printing process. Nevertheless, it does not feel like metal, it continues to be plastic with a different look. Although the PLA filament has elements and traces of metal, these are suitable for 3D printing due to their small size.
