Pass the But­ter Robot in Rick and Morty TV show

A robot­ics blog­ger has used the method of 3D print­ing to devel­op the mis­er­able “But­ter Robot” from the ani­mat­ed sci-fi series ‘Rick and Morty’. The base of the cre­at­ed robot con­sists of an “I Spy tank” RC car, with 3D Print­ed parts added on the top of the tank. The move­able mid­dle part can be con­trolled via any smart­phone while the upper part is 3D Print­ed.

The fans of Adult Swim show ‘Rick and Morty’ won’t have to wait too longer for the launch of its third series. How­ev­er some of the fans engage them­selves in the shows bizarre before launch­ing of the third series of the swim show ‘Rick and Morty’.

Just before the launch­ing of the sea­son pre­miere, tech­nol­o­gy blog­ger ESDEV has cre­at­ed, Rick and Morty inspired 3D Print­ed robot, for the soon-to-be-con­tin­ued series and a valu­able addi­tion to our list of cool 3D print­ing stuff.

The Butter Robot:

The 3d Print­ed Robot in the series, ‘the but­ter robot’, last seen in the Sea­son 1 episode “Some­thing Ricked This way Comes.” In the episode, all the fam­i­ly mem­bers are on break­fast table, when a lit­tle boy come to the table ask­ing for help for his Sci­ence project from rick and his dad.

On the same time, Rick was seen order­ing a robot to ‘pass the but­ter’ at his break­fast table. The Robot com­plete its task before request, the but­ter robot grab the but­ter and pass it to Rick and asked, “what is my pur­pose?” Rick explained, “pass the but­ter”, upon which robot was lit­tle con­fused, utter­ing des­per­ate “Oh my god.” Rick respond­ed back: “Yeah, Wel­come to the club, pal.

Lit­tle funky yet high­ly mem­o­rable char­ac­ters and objects from the series Rick and Morty are often referred online, even­tu­al cult sta­tus, and most­ly 3D Print­ed repli­cas, so it’s not sur­pris­ing to see the ‘But­ter Robot’ now get­ting the man­u­fac­tur­ing treat­ment from the tech savvy YouTube blog­ger ESDEV, real name Andre.

Andre, a tech savvy YouTube blog­ger cre­at­ed ‘The But­ter Robot’ and embed­ded the same func­tion­al­i­ty that can be seen in the series ‘Rick and Morty’. Andre video show the func­tion of 3D Print­ed Robot that is to “Pass the But­ter”. The ‘But­ter Robot goes viral due to its pres­ence in the famous sci-fi series.’ The but­ter fetch­ing android has already been cre­at­ed in the LEGO, but the new 3d Print­ed ver­sion open the door for many cre­ators to make their own 3D Print­ed But­ter Robots.

The Robot’s Per­for­mance and func­tion­al­i­ty:
Andre’s the cre­ator of 3D Print­ed “But­ter Robot” show the per­for­mance of the Robot in his video and the only task the Robot need to per­form is “pass­ing the but­ter.” Andre promised to release the STL and Solid­Works files for print in the future.

The base of the But­ter Robot is a paint­ed “I Spy Tank”, con­trolled via tablet or smart­phone, while the mov­ing part and the upper sec­tions are made up of 3d Print­ed parts.

The ‘But­ter Robot’ move with the help of sig­nals pass­ing out from the smart­phone device that enable the mov­ing func­tion­al­i­ty of robot, then reach­ing to the but­ter, the robot bend and pick the but­ter. Although it’s very sim­ple task to be per­formed but the robot gets famous due to its pres­ence in the famous show Rick and Morty.

Andre, promised the release of SolidWorks and STL files:

Although most of the mak­ers are expect­ing the release of Solid­Works and STL files for the 3D Print­ed robot but some of the YouTube Com­menters reached out to Andre about the pos­si­bil­i­ty of buy­ing already made mod­el. Mak­ers will be able to see the 3D Print­ed but­ter robot files using a paint­ing ser­vice like Shape­ways if they don’t have a 3D print­er to hand.
